Oscar 330 Power Lift Kit Installation

Lower your Sawmill Head all the way down to where your lift and winch cables are loose.

Use your vise grips to clamp the cable to the lift mount to the side of the winch. There should be 2 to 3 feet of cable hanging past the winch.

Use the 6mm Allen Key and ⅞” wrench to loosen the nut that is holding the cable on the winch.

Unwrap the cable from the winch. Be sure to keep some tension on the cable in the Lift Bail so it doesn’t loosen up or come out of form on the bail.

With the 9/16” wrench and socket, remove the winch.

New Winch Installation

Use the 2, ⅜” x 1 ¼” Bolts to mount the new winch.

Slide the new winch all the way to the top of the mount. Tighten the bolts. Be sure that the terminals of the winch are facing to the right or the outside of the mill.

Use ½” wrench and socket to remove the existing Push Handle.

Mounting Plate Installation

The Solenoid Mounting Plate will be installed under the Battery on the back/operator side of the mill. It is helpful to clamp the plate on with a pair of vise grips prior to drilling.

Use the 5/16” drill to drill out the 2 holes on the plate under the Battery Mount.

With the ½” Wrench and Socket use the 2, 5/16” x 1” Bolts to Mount the Solenoid Mounting Plate.

Solenoid/Box Installation

Use the 2, ¼” x 1” Bolts to mount the Solenoid and Box to the new Mounting Plate.

The shorter Black and Red wires will go toward the Motor and the longer wires and the Push Handle will go away from the Motor.

Push Handle Installation

Install the New Push Handle in the same location as you removed the old Push Handle from.

Use the 5/16” x 2 ½” Bolt. Tighten Firmly. Be sure that the wires are running on the inside of the mill.

Wiring New Winch BE SURE THAT THE BATTERY SWITCH IS SHUT OFF

Using the 10mm Nut Driver, install the White wire with Yellow Heat Shrink on the Yellow Marked Terminal on the Winch. Install the Black Wire with Blue Heat Shrink on the Blue Marked Terminal on the Winch.

Route the Black and Red wires under the Battery Switch Plate.

Run the Red wire up to the Battery and using the 7/16” Wrench install it directly on the + Positive Battery Terminal.

Using the 11/16” Wrench, Install the Black/Ground wire to the same side of the Battery Switch as the Ground wire off the motor is connected to.

Winch Cable Installation

Turn on the Battery Switch.

Take the tail end of the cable and slide it in the hole of the winch.

Use your ⅛” Allen Key to tighten the Set Screw inside the winch bail. Be sure to not push the cable through the other side of the bail. You don’t want it sticking out the other side.

With your hand, keep tension on the lift bail cable and take the Vise Grips off that you clamped the cable with.

Bump up your winch to pull the cable in the winch bail. Be careful to not pinch your hand/fingers in the cable. Keep the cable from crossing over itself in the bail.

Be sure to get the cable in the cable pulley above the winch. Check all your cables and be sure they are not crossed over each other. If they are, push down on your winch switch to loosen them and align them all. Be sure that your lift cables are uniform and slid against the welded nuts on the lift bail.
